Role: PMO Manager
Location: Denbighshire / Deeside
Package: £40-50k plus benefits

Overview:

Leading a global PMO that is geared towards the R&D and global solutions sector of a company that is a manufacturer of electronics components and software platform solutions.

The aim of this group is to explore the possibility of electronics / telecoms components that have been successful on a regional basis to be adapted to work on a global scale.

The role would suit a candidate that has worked within a project management or project delivery role that has either moved, or is looking to move into a PMO management function.

A background in either electronics, software or telecoms would be advantageous but the key is the in depth people management experience within a project / PMO environment, ideally involving the management of reports on a remote / global basis.

Responsibilities
*Implements project management excellence into R&D bias technical business streams.
*Coaches and develops on project management and provides guidelines and best practice in project management.
*Heads a small team of project managers
*Defines PMO Organisation and develops global project management team
*Reduces Time To Volume for new product development and sustaining projects
*As LEAN process owner working closely with global PMO for continuously improving efficiency and effectiveness of process
*Facilitates meetings and project portfolio discussions
*Reports to Portfolio Management team on resource demand and capacities
*Cooperates with other regional or global engineering excellence teams/ persons
*Ensures that staff are trained on tools (e.g. MS Project etc.); cares about appropriate trainings


Skills
*Extensive experience in project management (e.g. Heading a Project Management Office, Project Portfolio Management)
*Critical Path Analysis (CPM) experience
*Ability to lead and motivate remotely
*Excellent knowledge of Project Management methodologies and certification such as Prince 2
*Excellent knowledge of MS Office - including MS Project
*Maturity to define deliverables depending on project complexity
*Strong communication skills and ability to manage international resource
*People Management skills, e.g. Motivational and Leadership Skills
*Result oriented
*Prepared to travel including internationally
