The Role
Bluefire Consulting are recruiting for a Field Service Planner/Project Manager to organise installation, commissioning, modification and maintenance projects for a global electrical distribution company from their site in East Kilbride. Main duties of the Field Service Planner/Project Manager role will include:
*planning switchgear and other engineering field service projects within the UK, overseas and offshore locations
*carrying out site surveys before and after maintenance and modifications projects
*writing site risk assessments
*organising on site resources such as Engineers and sub-contractors
*producing project method statements
*assisting with customer training activities
*monitoring project finances

The Candidate
As a successful Field Service Planner/Project Manager candidate you must be able to demonstrate at least 3 years' experience working within the switchgear industry, have a strong working knowledge of site maintenance and test techniques and managed engineering projects previously. Academic qualifications (e.g. degree/HNC or equivalent) in engineering or a related discipline would be viewed as highly advantageous for the Field Service Planner/Project Manager role.
