The Opportunity
We are looking for an enthusiastic, hard€working and self€motivated, qualified Commissioning Engineers who have Industrial Refrigeration experience. You will work for a Global Leading company who offer products and services to optimise energy and operational efficiencies of buildings. This is working within the Building Efficiency business providing turnkey solutions for customers predominately within the food and beverage industry. We want Commissioning Engineers who have a desire to progress to manage the commissioning aspect of our installations.

The Role
The Commissioning Engineer will work on projects that range from small prime works to the total turnkey cooling solutions for a range of specialist industries. The Commissioning Engineer will report into the operations manager but will also work under the direction of a project manager on specific projects. You may act as a lead technician on site and may be responsible for a group of assigned technicians on site.
The Commissioning Engineer must be willing to learn & work in new fields, dealing on a multi€disciplined level with electrical & mechanical engineering. The work will involve all aspects of commissioning including report writing, presentations, detailed commissioning processes work & review of design calculations, writing specifications, site measurements, administration, etc. The Commissioning Engineers are required to travel to client sites UK wide, as required, and must be willing to travel on short assignments and spend prolonged periods of time away from home.

Responsibilities
The Commissioning Engineer

*Focuses on design, commissioning, testing, inspection and troubleshooting on large complex Refrigeration Systems
*Works with project manager and Design Manager confirm commission Process and commissioning programme for specific site installation projects.
*May be primary site contact during testing and commissioning phase
*Ensures that commissioning processes are followed and recorded, providing evidence that installed system complies within the parameters of the project scope and specification
*Provides technical support to the Project delivery team during installation
*Provide coaching and training as required for internal and external personnel
*May provide technical support and assist in gathering data as part of site surveys prior to start of project or at sales phase.
*Lead any technical investigations or trouble shooting if required, escalating any issues to Project Manager and Design manager
*Works with sales review technical requirements, deliverables and access for commissioning and delivering final solution.
*Attends sales turn in handover meetings to review technical scope, with regards to commissioning, ensures that all required costs for specific tools and labour are incorporated.
*Responsible for handing over of the project to service Department
*Ensures that we have the correct data managing tools to measure site requirements for proving of equipment on site.
*Ensures sign off/Client Handover at end of commissioning in conjunction with PM
*Completion of final site commissioning records and as built drawings
*Regularly visits ongoing installations, to assist PM with technical review and progression.
*Reviews and signs of required drawing and documentation as part of project design review process.
*Engages with Subcontractors and suppliers with regards to system commissioning requirements, resource and programme (eg. Water treatment, controls etc.


The Candidate
The Commissioning Engineer will have;

*Industrial refrigeration experience would be considered essential to the role.
*Experience in the food processing industry would be considered of benefit to the role.
*Practical experience of engineering.
*Experience with Ammonia, HFC and hydronic systems.
*Experience operating and interrogating PLC based control systems.
*Working experience with electrical systems and VSD Drives
*It is a pre€requisite that the candidate is fully IT capable.
*Attention to detail
*Enthusiasm for engineering. We want someone who is interested in what they do and strives to improve commissioning & offers solutions for our clients.
*Report Writing - ability to write reports in clear coherent English.
*Clean driving licence
*Candidates must be flexible to travel UK wide and spend prolonged periods of time away from home
