Opportunity

Are you someone with who specialises in HVAC, refrigeration and air conditioning maintenance/install or service? Our client are looking for a specialist to bring in to their team of 6 engineers looking after a 43acre commercial/industrial site where no two days on site will be the same. Do you want to be part of a rapidly growing company where your opinions will be taken on board and you can shape your own job role, then this is an opportunity for you to consider.

The Role

Our client are certainly an exciting proposition, a rapidly growing Facilities Management company who boast some of the largest commercial/industrial clients in the UK. They are able to boast a workforce where progression is a real possibility and the customer is always put first.

We are currently assembling a team of 6 engineers who will as soon as possible take control of the day to day maintenance of an enormous 43acre site in Gateshead. You'll initially report into the Operations Manager - Austin but quickly as things develop this will be a Hard Services Manager. The structure is very flat and as plans develop opportunities will arise, so if you find yourself stuck in a rut and no signs of progression this maybe an opportunity worth considering. As a client the company have a history of providing opportunities to people by promoting internally and then giving us opportunities to backfill.

Ideally you'll be F-Gas qualified, and will have experience working with air-conditioning, refrigeration, boiler rooms and plant rooms. After all on such a large site this is going to be the environment in which you spend most of your day. Let's face it with over 150 buildings on such a large site, things are going to need maintaining/installing/servicing, so your certainly will have a varied workload. If you have any exposure on any other trades from basic electrical and plumbing work to general building fabrication work this would certainly be advantageous but not essential.

Duties

*repairing all reactive maintenance requirements HVAC, refrigeration, air-conditioning and plant rooms
*taking part in planned preventative maintenance
*assisting subcontractors where required
*A background knowledge in building services maintenance or fabric engineering would make you a standout candidate

The Company

Our client are certainly an exciting proposition, a rapidly growing Facilities Management company with their head office in Shropshire but with huge clients UK wide. They have real ambition to continue expanding their portfolio outside of their existing longstanding clients. However the company are also not stupid, they are actually pretty smart and they realise that a company is only as good as the people who work within it, so want to encourage their employees to seek progression and train and develop those looking for it.

Working Hours

*this work is a Monday - Friday role with an element of weekend work on a call out rota
*working hours are flexible as long as site is covered between 7am-5pm so 7-3pm, 8-4pm or 9-5pm works for them
*You will be asked to participate in the callout rota for weekends, and are paid half a day or a full day's work depending on how long you're on site, this is 1 weekend in 3

All in all, the client are very flexible and it's up to you as the team of engineers to work out what works best for yourselves.
