We are currently recruiting for a project manager, to work for our client, a fantastic growing specialist engineering company, based around Hinckley. The opportunity offers the right candidate 30-40k, company car, bonus and benefits. The role will be focused around mechanical engineering projects, with any experience of offshore or acoustic/vibrations projects being ideal We are very open to candidates with mechanical engineering project management experience from a different background. We are looking for candidates with Health and safety focus also.

The Company operates on a worldwide basis across a wide portfolio of sectors, so the successful candidate will be expected to travel extensively within the UK and possibly overseas.

Key Responsibilities:
The PM reports to the Project Director and will be responsible for the day to day contact with the client.
The PM has overall operational responsibility for the fulfillment of the contract and for running the project to meet the defined goals, milestones, budget and deliverables with the acceptable levels of quality defined by ISO9001 and ISO14001. This includes, but not limited to:
-Maintain communication with the client on contractual matters
-Ensure good and positive customer relations are established and maintained.
-Establish the project organization and organize the project work
-Establish, implement and control project plans, budget and procedures
-Establish, implement and update plans for execution and control of the project including definition of tasks, deliverables, budgets, schedules, and milestones.
-Monitor the performance of personnel and other resources allocated to the project, implementing corrective actions as needed to deliver projects on time and to budget.
-Implement QA measures including adequate execution of internal verification of all project results.
-Respond to feedback from client in a timely manner, with attention to continuous development and client satisfaction.
-Establish plan for quality audits of the project/project team and develop corrective actions and for action and close out.
-Establish and maintain administrative processes in the project, including a project filing system for technical and administrative matters.


Position Requirements:
-University degree in field of Mechanical Engineering
-Direct work experience in a Project Management capacity - both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment essential.
-Direct work experience creating and using Health & Safety documentation (i.e. RAMS)
-A high level of written and oral Communication skills
-Strong Interpersonal and Leadership skills - persuasive, encouraging and motivating
-Strong Analytical and Problem-solving capabilities.
-Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks across multiple project locations and teams.
-Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide cross section of business authority, including senior management, clients, other departments and subcontractors.

Full training/orientation in all product, material and measurement instruments provided. If required NEBOSH training provided.
