Opportunity: Process Engineer (Warehousing)

Salary: £25-38k + bonus + benefits

We are currently looking to recruit a process engineer for a global client, working in the Leeds site. Offering up to 38k plus bonus + benefits, this is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate with experience in process improvement in a warehousing environment. Ideally we would be looking for candidates with knowledge of lean, Kanban, Kaizen, Poka Yoke and SAP, however not all are essential. We would consider both candidates with a degree with a few years' experience, as well as candidates without a degree who have gained more experience in a hands on role. Ideally an engineering background would also be preferable.


Support of the line Process Manager on a day to day basis and lead the implementation of improvement projects to ensure the company's products are produced at the required quality levels and as efficiently, also assisting with the day-to-day function of the production engineering department.

The Responsibilities
In coordination with quality and engineering team, lead PFMEA and the implementation of poka yoke and Jidoka

Ensure the standardization between each line and control industrial indicators

Continual analysis and improvement of assembly and manufacturing techniques through benchmarking, eliminating waste, eliminating any potential quality/product quality issues and to meet the recommendations of any Health and Safety risk assessments. To include developing layouts/project plans, procurement and/or design of tooling/jigs/ fixtures, the sourcing of cost effective external services and to lead the implementation of any such projects.

Labour productivity improvement through these actions

Conduct Work Measurement/Method Studies against new and existing tasks to establish time estimates, measure operator performance and ensure that the most effective

Manufacturing and Assembly techniques are adopted. Log all lost time issues and create action plan for root cause. Identification of the lost times and deduce unidentified times to be reduced

Compile comprehensive product assembly and manufacturing manuals with clear and concise instruction/visual aids, to ensure assembly personnel can elicit accurate parts information or assembly detail.

Develop significant Capex proposals and successfully project manage the implementation for any projects/plant/ tooling, etc., which may be required to improve the efficiency, or reduce the costs of manufacture/assembly processes ensuring that health and safety regulations are accounted for.

Support/facilitate a number of Kaizen improvement and provide advice, components/parts, external information, PC training, financial assistance /justifications and presentation packages to ensure the groups operate as effectively as possible.

Implement and promote "I see I do" philosophy.

Project manages significant cost reduction /process improvement projects leading a cross functional team against the business objectives.
