Service Technician (Powered Access)
Based in Leeds
Paying £17,500

We have a great opportunity for a Service Technician to join a market leading tool hire company within their powered access department. The candidate we are searching for is somebody who is enthusiastic and reliable and is looking for a company they can progress with. The Service Technicians role will be to assist the Workshop Engineer to service and maintain the company's products and equipment (both mechanically and electrically), this will include exposure to both pneumatics and hydraulics. The ideal candidate will be somebody with relevant industry experience or knowledge. The Role

As a Service Technician you will carry out basic servicing and routine maintenance on hire equipment and products; maintaining the quality, safety, reliability and availability of hire stock in a cost effective manner.

Day to day responsibilities;

*Routine servicing and maintenance of all hire equipment and products including electrical testing.
*To carry out refurbishment of equipment and products where necessary.
*Liaising with the Workshop Manager when spare parts are required to ensure cost effective repairs.
*Advise the Workshop Manager of repairs covered under warranty.
*Ensure service records are maintained and updated onto the internal computerised system (Spanner) and daily worksheets are populated.
*Adhering to the damage process and ensure product damage is highlighted.
*Ensuring that all equipment is cleaned to the highest standard ready for hire.
*Maintaining and ensuring maximum workshop productivity in line with company targets.
*Carrying out other tasks and duties as required, including assisting in other departments when necessary.
*Adherence to company guidelines on Health & Safety at work at all times.
*To promote teamwork between colleagues across all locations, to ensure delivery of an effective workshop performance.
*Ensuring the workshop is safe, tidy and organised at all times.
*To represent the company and values of the business and portray a professional and business like image to all customers, potential customers and other people you meet in the course of your work.
*Be a key driver in serious about safety by leading from the front.
*Ensure all workshops and products / equipment are maintained to the company brand.

The Candidate

The ideal Service Technician will need to have basic knowledge and experience in maintaining mechanical and electrical equipment with a thirst to learn and progress their abilities. We are looking for somebody with strong communication skills who's attention to detail helps them to notice faults others might overlook. Although not paramount manual handling awareness, and industry experience particularly within powered access is preferable. A driving licence is also desirable.
