We are currently looking to recruit a Training Officer (Mechanical Engineering) to work for our leading global client, based in Leicestershire. Joining an experienced and established training team you will assist in the delivery of training courses (mainly mechanical services).

This role would be ideal for those mechanically biased technical trainers who are looking to take the next step in their career, or in fact experienced mechanical engineers looking to step into an instructor / trainer role, working in a training school environment. Overview of role

The Training Officer (Mechanical Engineering) will be responsible for delivering training courses to engineers within a training school environment. Joining a team of 3 other trainers you will be coaching and developing mainly on a mechanical services syllabus, teaching the mechanical engineering principles and foundations to engineers before they go onto product specific training. You will also cover Applications and commissioning training as well as a basic overview of electrical awareness and principles.

Key responsibilities:

-Conduct training activities and lectures in mechanical services, applications and commissioning and an overview of electrical awareness.

-Other duties may include delivering training to external customers and partners, including building management systems, security and fire products.

-To help develop and implement in-house training courses. To include course materials, literature and manuals.

-Help in the analysis of employee training needs, and formulate training programmes / strategy to minimise gaps, recommending improvements when necessary.

-Designing and constructing new demonstration equipment and product simulators to aid in the delivery of training.

The person

Again, we would be interested in hearing from current Mechanical trainers looking to make their next move as well as experienced mechanical engineers who feel they are able to step into a mentoring / training role with the ability to lead and teach engineers.

Candidates will have the following:

-A comprehensive understanding of Mechanical Services and the ability to pass this knowledge and experience on to engineers coming into the training school.

-A Degree / Bsc / HND / HNC in a Mechanical Services discipline or similar

-An understanding of electrical awareness.

-HVAC control knowledge would be advantageous.

-Excellent communication skills in order to deliver presentations and training courses to the highest standards.

-Although no formal training / assessor qualifications are required it is assumed you will have the ability to deliver material in a workshop / training school environment.

-The ability to work in a team of 3 other trainers pro-actively developing and tweaking training courses in line with the business' requirements to ensure the best possible delivery of training material.

-Full UK Driving licence
