Job Summary

Diesel Engineer/Mechanic
Paying £20k to £25k
Based in Manchester

The Role
Working in the refurbishment centre, the Diesel Engineer/Mechanic generator fitter will support the overall refurbishment process; maintaining the quality, safety, reliability and availability of refurbished generators and diesel engines in a cost effective manner. It is imperative that all candidates have extensive diesel engine experience and diesel engine diagnostics skills, they must also have experience in completely stripping/rebuilding engines and fuel injection systems.


Duties
The Diesel Engineer/Mechanic will be expected to;

*Be a positive team player, helping to ensure delivery of Refurb Centre performance plans.
*Carry out Preparation and Refurbishment of all generator and diesel engine equipment and products which are designated as part of the refurbishment plan.
*Liaise with the Refurbishment Manager when spare parts are required to ensure cost effective and timely refurbishment.
*Liaise with Refurbishment Manager to help eliminate unnecessary costs/waste.
*Adhere to company guidelines on Health & Safety at Work.
*Maintain and ensure maximum productivity in line with company targets, whilst taking personal responsibility in ensuring every refurbishment is carried out safely with quality levels consistently maintained.
*Represent the company and values of the business and portray a professional and businesslike image to all customers, potential customers and other people you meet in the course of your work.
*Be a key driver in serious about safety.
*Ensure refurbished equipment supports our 360—¦ brand.
*Carry out other tasks and duties as required.

The Candidate
The ideal Diesel Engineer/Mechanic will have

*Experience as an engineer- with mechanical with electrical knowledge of generator operations including control panels
*Experience of fault diagnostics and repair of generators and diesel engines (100 Kva - 1000 Kva)
*Computer literatacy
*Good administration skills
*A Flexible approach to work
* A Valid driving licence

It is imperative that all candidates have extensive diesel engine experience and diesel engine diagnostics skills, they must also have experience in completely stripping/rebuilding engines and fuel injection systems.
