This global company operate by utilizing the full manufacturing process from research and development through to mass production and final delivery to multiple industries globally including automotive, medical, graphics, electrical, renewable energy and consumer goods. You'll have a keen interest in the manufacturing process from R&D and quality control through to final product delivery for global clients.

The role

In this role you will develop through an intensive 12month industry specific training plan working closely with the UK Technical Manager, training you to understand the processes from R&D, liaising with suppliers and clients, testing and the development of prototypes to specification, management of multiple projects and developing a product into mass production. You'll learn to develop your creative thinking to try solutions to issues faced in multiple industries working closely with Bluechip clients providing technical support to your product.

You'll be trained to manage a project from its infancy to its maturity into a mass produced solution. The process you'll go through will involve managing the research and development, inspection/testing and design to, prototyping, mass production and quality control of your product. You'll then prove the first point of contact to your client to provide technical support over both the phone and at customer premises.

Your work will take place on both the shop floor of the production facility working closely with machine operators, setting up the production machinery, but also in the testing and inspection area where you will work on CAD to design prototypes and conduct investigative testing analysis to match them to client specification, testing stresses, strains, temperature to failure point whilst also having a keen eye for the commercial sense of producing this product.

As you develop you will be given more responsibility to run projects simultaneously and whilst supporting sales staff attending client meetings to provide a technical input to explain how your product could be developed to suit their requirements.

*Research and development of new materials and compositions
*Testing and Inspection of new design philosophies
*Design using CAD to produce prototypes often thinking outside of the box
*Quality Control - of the production process in involving routine testing
*Managing a production process of new or repeat orders of the product
*Providing Technical support to new and existing clients

The Candidate

You'll be a mechanically minded engineer who thinks outside the box. You'll have a mechanical qualification and a real keen interest in how things work and go together in a mechanical sense. As an individual you will be keen to develop and receive training from one of the leading technical managers in the industry. You'll be keen to work for an organisation who are industry renound for their quality and no for simply providing the cheapest solution. You will be able to listen and think creatively with clients and supplier alike, stemming from a genuine interest in engineering both in and outside of work. A lot of the employees have a keen interest in working on cars, motorbikes and often watch mechanical documentaries, if you feel a forward thinking mechanical environment is one where you would thrive please apply.

The Package

£28-32k potentially more for the ideal candidate, Monday - Friday 8.30 - 5pm, 20 days holiday +1 day per year of service, Access to pool cars

12 months intensive training with the UK Technical Manager and his team, travel opportunities to Germany for further training
