Job Title:Technical Support / Customer Service Advisor
Location: Approximately 20 minutes south of Oxford (Wallingford area)
Salary:£18-22k + excellent training / development

We are looking for a Customer Service Advisor for a role paying £18-22k for a role based approximately 20 minutes south of Oxford (near Wallingford). You will be working for our client, leading distributor of automated and remote control devices. The role would offers excellent training / development and would be ideal for somebody who has good customer service skills and who has an interest in engineering / electronics and is keen to get stuck into both a telephone support and hands on role. You will be required to have full UK driving licence as this position is approximately 20 minutes south of Oxford.


The position:

This role consists of two main areas. Joining the team, firstly you will play a key role in providing Customer Support for the complete product portfolio. You will have full training on all systems and products and will be able to provide product knowledge and technical support to customers via the telephone. As well as the technical support on the phone the position will be a hands on practical one, with many varied roles, covering all aspects of the business, including packing of boxes of equipment to be sent out by daily carrier, answering the phone, updating websites including ecommerce sites, helping with email campaigns and hard copy mail shots, creating tables and delivery notes, etc, all that is involved in a business.

The Candidate

The most important requirement for this position is willingness to learn, customer service and enthusiasm. This role would be ideal for someone with a keen interest in engineering / electronics who can bring some natural passion into the diverse and varied role. Perhaps you have A levels or a Degree qualification in a technical discipline, or maybe you just have a keen interest in the area. Either way, we would be interested in hearing from you.

You must have excellent customer service skills with a pleasant manner, good sense of humour and be happy to "muck in" to get the task completed, with a "can-do attitude".

You must have a logical, 'problem solving' mentality and a high level of initiative.

You will have good basic computer skills and be familiar with packages such as Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as good email skills.

As this position is based approximately 20 minutes South of Oxford (near Wallingford) you will be required to have a full UK driving license and your own vehicle.
