We are looking for a Customer Service Advisor for a role paying £18-22k in the Reading area. You will be working for our client, leading distributor of automated and remote control devices. The role would offers excellent training / development and would be ideal for somebody who has good customer service skills and who has an interest in engineering / electronics and is keen to get stuck into both a telephone support and hands on role. You will be required to have full UK driving licence as this position is approximately 10 miles north of Reading.


The position:

This role consists of two main areas. Joining the team, firstly you will play a key role in providing Customer Support for the complete product portfolio. You will have full training on all systems and products and will be able to provide product knowledge and technical support to customers via the telephone. As well as the technical support on the phone the position will be a hands on practical one, with many varied roles, covering all aspects of the business, including packing of boxes of equipment to be sent out by daily carrier, answering the phone, updating websites including ecommerce sites, helping with email campaigns and hard copy mail shots, creating tables and delivery notes, etc, all that is involved in a business.

The Candidate

The most important requirement for this position is willingness to learn, customer service and enthusiasm. Although no formal qualifications are required, this role would be ideal for someone with a keen interest in engineering / electronics who can bring some natural passion into the diverse and varied role.

You must have excellent customer service skills with a pleasant manner, good sense of humour and be happy to "muck in" to get the task completed, with a "can-do attitude".

You will have good basic computer skills and be familiar with packages such as Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as good email skills.

As this position is based approximately 10 miles north of Reading you will be required to have a full UK driving license and your own vehicle.
