Electronics Hardware Design Engineer (6 Month Contract)
Location: Rhyl
Hourly Rate: £30

Opportunity:
We have a great opportunity for an Electronics Hardware Design Engineer to join a market leading company in North Wales. Working in the R&D department of the business, this site based role will be involved in the electronic aspects of product development within the company. Working on new and existing products for the telecoms network indoor and outdoor product range. Starting as a 6 months contract, this is quite likely to be extended.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the whole development life cycle from specification, through design, development, test and maintenance. We are looking for an Electronics Design engineer with strong experience in analogue, low noise and low power electronic design and stimulation. Ideally qualified to a HND/C, BSc or the equivalent.

Typical Duties:
* Design and authentication of high volume, cost sensitive Telecom Networks products.
* Design of new intricate Telecom products using analogue, digital and firmware technologies.
* Support to the formal validation to new and excising products.
* Communication with the firmware and software engineering teams ensuring that the products meet end to end requirements.

Required skills & experience with:
* Analogue, low noise and low power electronic design and simulation.
* Design and simulation of digital circuits.
* PCB layout methodologies for EMC performance.
* Build, prototype manufacture, debug and test of dense surface mount device PCBs.
* DX/Designer/PADs for schematic capture.
* ARM, PIC, AVR or related high performance compact microcontrollers.
* International regulatory standards awareness, particularly EMC and safety.

The Candidate:
Looking for an Electronics Design Engineer who is self-motivated and able to work as part of a team, you will be expected to continue the improvement of both new products and existing products in the product development, R&D department of a business providing services in the fire & security systems sector. Somebody who is organised and enjoys the intricacy of electronic product design.
