Process Engineer
Paying £35-40k
Based in Rhyl, North Wales..

The Role
A vacancy now exists for a Process Engineer who will be reporting into the Cable Global Lead and Plant Manager within a World Class manufacturer of optical fibre cables for the Telecom and Datacom Markets. Well known in the industry for its innovative cable designs and solid application of LEAN principles. This role is challenging but also very rewarding.

Responsibilities
The Process Engineer will be responsible for:

*Optimising existing cable manufacturing processes using a structured scientific approach
*Developing new processes and act as the link between R&D and Production
*Providing day to day Process and General Engineering support to Production
*Supporting FO Cable R&D on innovation projects

The Candidate
The ideal Process Engineer will have;

*Degree/HND qualified in an Engineering or Science based subject
*Candidates with substantial industry related experience may also be considered
*Prior experience in Cable Manufacturing OR Optics would be an advantage
*The ideal knowledge base should include Polymer Science, Plastics Extrusion / Moulding, Mechanical Testing Principles and Project Management
*The ideal person would have to be positive and proactive, a good communicator and able to work within a multi-disciplined team.
*This role will only suit a self-starter who can work independently and make sound work prioritisation decisions.
*Equally you must be able to work effectively in multiple teams whilst managing a demanding workload.
