The Opportunity

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Maintenance Electrician (Manufacturing) to join our client, a global manufacturing / production company, located in Runcorn. Overview of the Role

As an electrical maintenance engineer you will join an experienced team, responsible for the preventative and breakdown maintenance of production and manufacturing systems including; drives, control, inverters, instrumentation controls, conveyors, PLCs, emergency stop systems and high speed packaging machines.

Key Responsibilities:

* Electrical maintenance of all plant equipment and services to the highest possible standard allowing the company to safety achieve quality and performance targets by preventative maintenance techniques and minimising breakdown time.
* Able to work from wiring diagrams and use a range of tools to calibrate, inspect and test installations and machinery to make sure they are working correctly and safely, according to schedule.
* Deliver and support a culture of environmental, health and safety (EHS) through achievement of EHS objectives and targets.
* Support a high level of safety awareness and work in a safe manner at all times following procedures and guidelines.
* To actively support the deployment of World Class Manufacturing (WCM) activates across all areas of the business, both on a day to day basis and on nominated projects.
* Accurate reporting of work carried out in logbooks and to sign off work before handing back to production.
* Actively contributing to the training of new apprentices and colleagues, whilst continuing own personal development and making suggesting to enhance the departmental and site performance.


The individual

We would be interested in hearing from those qualified Maintenance electricians who have experience of working in a manufacturing or production environment. You will be qualified to either apprenticeship / NVQ Level 3 / HNC in Electrical Engineering.

*IEE Wiring Regulations - 17th Edition
*Experience and knowledge of working with PLC's (Allen-Bradley desirable).
*Knowledge of SCADA systems would be beneficial.
*Good communication skills as you will be working as part of a maintenance team consisting of both electrical and mechanical engineers

Package and working hours

For the successful candidate you will receive a package of:

*£28,500 - £30,000 per annum Basic Salary
*£1800 guaranteed allowance for being on call 1 week in 4
*£30 / hour when called out (guaranteed 3 hours payment)
*Contracted hours are:

-39 hours per week working Mon-Thur 7.30-3.30 Fri 7.30-2.30 for 3 weeks
-47 hours per week working Mon-Thur 7.30-5.30 Fri 7.30-2.30 every 4th week
