Based in Shrewsbury
£35-45k + overtime + holiday + pension + van + fuel + laptop

Our client have a national presence and a have ambitious growth plans over the next few years.

The Company

Our client are the UK market leaders in bio - fuel CHP technology catering for the maritime, education, retail, hotels, and local authorities sectors worldwide. Our client are committed like many of their clients to the overall carbon reduction and energy savings on a world scale. With over 14 years' experience designing, manufacturing, installing and maintaining CHP solutions our client complete the full cycle often running projects that last up to 3 years. Our client are currently recruiting 2 senior engineers to join the company.

The Role

You'll be a senior engineer on a new project in Shrewsbury where you will working on the install and build of a CHP generator. You must have had previous experience working on HFO (heavy fuel oil).

You will have AC/DC electrical systems and are able to identify and rectify pumps or sensor problems with the ability to isolate and implement safe basic electrical work.

You'll be mechanically sound and fully conversant with the install, service, repair and commissioning of large diesel type engines. You can competently disassemble an engine to component parts, assess, diagnose and remedy issues prior to performing a full engine rebuild.

The role really requires a self-starter who has excellent problem solving skills who is able to operate independently with minimal direction.

The Candidate

Do you harbour ambition to join a company at the forefront of developing new technology in CHP and Bio-fuel technology? If you have experience with HFO (Heavy Fuel Oil) Generators or Engines and would like to work for a company with exciting growth plans from both Design, Manufacture, Install and Maintenance.

Are you keen to be part of projects lasting up to 3 years from start to finish, worth between £1.5 - £6m. Our client have a bulging portfolio for this coming year with 32 units already scheduled in the process so you'll certainly be busy. You'll work on a shirt pattern involving working alternative weekends and for one of the two positions nights, but this is flexible and can be discussed in terms of your preferences at interview.

Are you keen for personal development? Our client will invest time and training in your needs and requirements to ensure both they and you stay ahead of the competition.

You'll come from a background of Fluid Tech/Engineering/Marine/Aeronautical and preferably be degree educated. If you also have a keen interest in engineering outside of the workplace meaning this role will be something you look forward to undertaking on a daily basis that would be beneficial.

Qualifications/Requirements

*Degree Educated or Alternative
*Background in Fluid Tech, Marine, Mechanical, Electrical or Aeronautical Engineering
*You may have a Navy or Military background
*You'll have a number of years hands on experience, this is a senior engineers position

Package

£35-45k salary, Holiday, Pension, Van, Fuel
Working Hours Shift based alternate weekends
One engineer of the 2 roles will work nights the other will work days
