Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic Electrical Commissioning Engineer to work located around the M4 corridor to cover the South West and South Wales. This role is ideal for a qualified electrician who holds 17th edition certification and who has a strong electrical background, experienced in commissioning electrical systems, fault finding while having knowledge of control systems and safe working conditions. For this reason City & Guilds Inspection and testing is preferable. This role also offers an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop towards technician/service engineer level.

Our client supplies, maintains and commissions specialist power systems within healthcare institutes (hospitals, intensive care) and your role will include liaising with clients with a view to visiting construction sites, leading to setting of work and commissioning of isolated power systems. Due to this knowledge of uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems is preferable. You will also be required to carry out service work and carry out verification checks on existing products. It will also be your responsibility to train clients of how to use the products and make them familiar with any technical quires they may have.

This is a working from home role which will require you to work at home for both existing and upcoming projects, preparing drawings, etc, and so the successful candidate will be computer literate however prior knowledge of CAD is not required as training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

- Liaising with clients to provide support and answering any technical queries they may have
- Studying / approving drawings to assist in the installation of our products
- The commissioning and maintenance of isolated power systems
