Field Installation Engineer
Paying £16k to £20k based on average per annum price wok Perm PAYE.

The Role
The Field Installation Engineers role will be installing digital TV, broadband and telephony services into residential customer homes. Prior experience working with the cable/Sky TV industry would be an advantage but we would be happy to hear from customer facing field engineers from other sectors of the telecommunications industry. We would also look at cross training enthusiastic, professional skilled engineers who have cable expertise (Cat5 or Cat6) and essential customer service skills. The role will involve an element of external and internal cabling work and as such, you should be physically fit, with excellent communication skills and a "right first time attitude".

Core Activities

The Field Installation Engineers will be expected to;

*Install all customers' services in a professional manner
*Educate the customers on services installed and ensure all services are operating to customer expectations
*Self-Audit all work to ensure it meets all applicable technical and operational quality standards
*Work efficiently and tidily, maintain a clean environment and at all times be polite to the customer
*Respond effectively and appropriately to all customer requests and enquiries
*Complete work to a required quality standard
*Complete work to agreed time scales
*Comply with Health & Safety standards
*Ensure all work activities comply with environmental regulations
*Ensure the use of plant and tools are conducted in a safe manner, meeting the requirements for operation of the specific equipment
*Conduct daily checks of vehicles in line with company Transport Policy
*Ensure vehicles are not over-loaded or otherwise pose a risk
*Conduct daily checks of plant and tools, ensure they are safe to use and where applicable carry valid calibration certificates

The Candidate
The Field Installation Engineers will have;
The ability to take direction from supervisor/management and execute works in an efficient manner
be Proactive in the resolution of engineering obstacles, conferring with supervisor
Be Customer focused with a professional outward attitude
Be Flexibility to undertake works outside core working hours
A Full driving license
The Ability to learn new skills quickly with training.

The Company
The Field Installation Engineers will work for a major telecommunications company and a well-known UK Brand.

The Package
The working week is a 5 day 45hr week and is PAYE which will consist of price work. Realistically you can earn over £20k in your first year and the price work is completely uncapped. You will receive a van, tools, petrol card, over all's and company mobile so there is no extra expense to yourself. You will receive a guaranteed minimum wage on days that you cannot make it to site for a genuine reason. You also have a pension scheme in place where the company contribute 10%. As this is a permanent position you will have holiday pay too.
