The Opportunity:

Wastewater Network Engineer required for our required for our client who are one of the world's largest and established organisations. The Wastewater Network Engineer offers an opportunity to come in for an established professional within the water industry where there will be many opportunity career wise and financially.

The Role:

The role of the Wastewater Network Engineer is to provide support on aspects of the foul and surface water network within private and statutory areas across Salisbury Plain and at Aldershot, as part of commercial contracts operated on behalf of the Ministry of Defence.

*Working on site with contractors and clients to investigate and facilitate remedial action for day-to-day issues such as sewer blockages, damaged network, often within tight contractual deadlines
*Investigating and producing engineering solutions to deal with commercial client requests for - e.g. new buildings/assets, network decommissioning, upsizing, etc.
*Reviewing network designs
*Execute a maintenance programme for network assets including CCTV surveying, inspecting and cleaning road gullies, OWIs and silt traps
*Producing and reviewing Safe Systems of Works
*Assist also, where required, with Operational teams
*Work closely with management to improve/suggest improvements to make processes/procedures more efficient
*To undertake technical appraisals of handover documentation, site inspections, witness all appropriate air and water tests and approve new works in relation to S104 Adoption applications, building over sewers and new sewer connections

The Person:

For the Wastewater Network Engineer we are looking for an established professional who has a lot of site experience as this is essential:

*Experienced wastewater network engineer with proven on-site experience.
*Strong understanding of wastewater network construction, operation and maintenance
*Experience of wastewater treatment processes and equipment desirable, but not essential
*Experience of working in a commercial contract environment (desirable)
*Working knowledge of 'Sewers for Adoption' code of practice
*In depth GIS knowledge and experience essential
*Good IT skills (word, excel, PDF-Pro, outlook, etc.)
*Full UK driving licence
*Obtain MOD security clearance (essential)
