The Opportunity

The Role

As a field service engineer you'll be responsible for the service of our clients industry leading MFP/Printer systems working for a number of the main players in the commercial industry. You'll join the service team and carry out maintenance and service to customers. The work is centred on a being a hands on engineer used to taking things apart and putting them back together. You'll have a decent mechanical brain, with some experience working field based with plenty progression opportunities. The work will be install and service based and will need someone who doesn't mind getting their hands dirty completing, troubleshooting, fault resolution and maintenance, you'll need to be interested in IT, but training is provided for those showing the right attitude and with a story to tell will be considered.

Customer service is key within this role, you'll be meeting with clients from large businesses to schools and colleges to small high-street retailers, but everyone must be treated with the same level of customer care and professionalism.

Working Hours

You'll join a region with 20+ engineers working Monday to Friday, The standard working day is 9-5.30pm. There will be the occasional chance to work some overtime, but this suits someone looking for fairly consistent working hours in a field based environment.

The Responsibilities

The Field Service Engineer will be responsible for:

*Service calls as directed by PDA/Smartphone based around your local town and surrounding areas
*Preparation and Installation of Printers/MFP's
*Service and Troubleshooting of printers/MFP's
*Maintain vehicle stock to minimise loses
*Perform to KPI's in line with company policy

The Candidate
The successful Engineer will have an engineering background, from either electrical or mechanical industries, you could have been workshop based or even field based but need to be able to demonstrate some good customer facing skills. You'll be looking to better your career within a massive company with loads of progression chances for those who show the right attitude. You may have worked on EPOS, Printers, Electronics or Mechanical products, but you'll be flexible to work in West/South West London, and want to get in with a huge client who treat you well and give you the chance to progress.

Candidates who can demonstrate they have the right skills and ability to learn will be considered as our end client have comprehensive training facilities.

The Hours of Work

9.00 - 5.30pm - work outside of these hours is paid at overtime rates

The role is paying £22,000 - 23,000 basic salary
