The Role
Bluefire Consulting are recruiting for a Workshop Fitter/Engineer to service and repair a full range of hire equipment and products; maintaining the quality, safety, reliability and availability of hire stock in a cost effective manner.
The Workshop Fitter/Engineer will be responsible for;
*Routine service and maintenance of all hire equipment and products
*Carrying out refurbishment of equipment and products where necessary
*Promoting teamwork between colleagues to ensure delivery of an effective workshop performance
*Liaising with the Workshop Manager when spare parts are required to ensure cost effective repairs
*Estimating and advising on equipment repair costs also providing recommendations regarding write off, damage and recharge to customers
*Advising the Workshop Manager of repairs covered under warranty
*Ensuring service records are maintained and updated onto Spanner and daily worksheets are populated
*Adhering to company guidelines on Health & Safety at Work
*Completing statutory inspections when required
*Adhering to damage process, ensure product damage is highlighted
*Maintaining and ensuring maximum workshop productivity in line with company targets

Hours: Thursday to Monday 3pm to 1am. 45 hours per week with 1 hour break per shift.

The Candidate
The ideal Workshop Fitter/Engineer will have:
*Experience in maintaining and repairing mechanical and electrical equipment
*Product knowledge including powered access range / access range preferred
*Manual handling awareness
*Strong communication skills
