Job Description

Job Title: Housing & Excursion Administrator (Central London)
Salary: £26k - £28k plus great benefits

The Opportunity
Do you have a passion for travel? Previous experience working in a university? Amazing administration and organisation skills?

If so, we're a university looking for someone like you to plan field trips for our Architecture, Design and Law students across the UK and Europe - and then go on the trips themselves!

This is not a drill people€¦we may be advertising the best job ever.

The Role
In your new role as Housing & Excursion Administrator you'll coordinate with the Director of the Architecture, Design and Law programs to plan informative and engaging field trips across the UK and Europe for our students throughout the scholastic year. This will include all transportation, accommodation, visas, local guides and site entry, effectively everything the students and staff will do.
The Housing & Excursion Administrator will also get the opportunity to go on these trips.

You'll also liaise with students to prepare them for trips and be the first point of contact if they have any questions. Working closely with the Finance Manager you'll work out costings and budgets for these excursions and any guest speakers the University brings to campus.

Alongside this as Housing & Excursion Administrator you'll act as the intermediary between students and the University-approved landlords they stay with for the majority of their semester with us.

The Candidate
If you have previously planned educational field trips you would be perfect for this role but there are a lot of other backgrounds which have the skills we're looking for.

If you've worked in a University or higher education establishment before and have great administration and organisation abilities the Housing & Excursion Administrator is for you. Owing to the nature of the role you will need demonstrable experience making complex international travel arrangements for groups of people to make sure you can hit the ground running.

This job is going to involve a lot of budget management so a strong grasp of numbers is going to be a big advantage.

As you'll be working in a University setting and liaising with students on a daily basis a degree (or equivalent) and familiarity with student life is going to give you a big advantage.

The Company
We're the UK campus of a prestigious US university catering to international student groups who are using London as a base for their European studies. As a result we're a really bright, enthusiastic workplace where there is always something going on.

We see the Housing & Excursion Administrator role as being integral to this. You're going to be supporting our students and staff during the best part of their time studying with us, field trips, whilst acting as a representative of the University so it's imperative you're going to enjoy that environment so you can really thrive.

The Package
£26k - £28k basic salary (dependent upon experience)
Generous pension (11% employer contribution after first year)
Employee Assistance Program (including free financial and legal advice, counselling etc.)
25 days holiday (after first year) plus 8 bank holidays
