The Role
In your new Facilities Manager position you'll oversee a small technical team responsible for ensuring the ongoing performance of our warehousing equipment and facilities. We pride ourselves on smart hiring decisions so the Maintenance Engineers you'll be looking after understand what they're doing and know the systems, warehouse and connected office complex like the back of their hand. PPMs are no problem for these guys but you will be in charge of setting schedules, H&S audits, asset management checks etc. and ensuring they're adhered to.

Your team can handle the majority of reactive fixes but you'll act as liaison and manager for all suppliers should the big guns need to be called in. We use a first-rate WMS that was installed recently so has already resolved teething problems but they are on hand should you need support, as with any role of this nature downtime needs to remain minimal.

Whilst this hasn't been a problem for us in the past we are always looking to continuously improve so as Facilities Manager we're looking for you to be the one championing increased efficiency and maximising ROI on our technology. If there is a way we can be better, we want to know about it.

The Candidate
If you're a Facilities or Engineering Manager from a warehouse, logistics or distribution background we'd love to hear from you.

To be able to hit the ground running an engineering qualification such as a HNC, HND or degree will really come in handy, our Engineers are well-experienced but it's always helpful to have a second opinion. Alongside that if you have a background working with WMS, WCS, PLCs, conveyoring or automation you're going to be an at advantage.

The Facilities Manager role is heavily involved in managing all warehousing and facilities suppliers so you will need to be confident doing this, overseeing budgets and taking control of projects on site.

As Facilities Manager you will also be responsible for health and safety across the site so we will be looking for a relevant qualification like IOSH or NEBOSH (or equivalent) would be ideal.

Owing to where we're located you would need a full UK driving licence and access to your own car, free parking is provided on site.
