Job Description

Job Title:Estates Project Manager (Guildford)
Salary:£45k - £50k plus benefits

The Opportunity
Are you interested in working for an award-winning estate? Would you like the chance to autonomously manage marquee projects? Enjoy working in higher education?

We have the job for you€¦

The Role
As our new Estates Project Manager you'll be overseeing the delivery of a wide variety of development and maintenance works across our large, multi-functional estate. This is made up of teaching space, research labs, accommodation, a performing arts centre plus a world-famous sports facility so there's lots for you to get your teeth into and a key part of your role is ensuring all these spaces remain fit for purpose.

Reporting in to the Senior PM you'll be encouraged to take charge of your own projects and budgets, which can be anything from £100k - £6 million, and run with them developing close relationships with teaching and operational staff alike. You'll have a hand in procurement, contractor management, entire lifecycle strategy and implementation and will act as "design authority" on your projects.

This is a great opportunity to develop your project management career within a progressive, ambitious estates team who want to keep building their reputation and providing top of the range facilities.

The Candidate
If you're a facilities, construction or building services Project Manager we'd love to hear from you!

In an ideal world you'll have experience working in a higher education or multi-site campus environment but if you're willing to learn and have a background looking after projects across a multi-function estate get in touch.
We manage our projects in line with the RIBA work plan so to be able to hit the ground running you will need experience of this. A project management qualification such as PRINCE2, PMP etc. would be viewed as highly beneficial.

The estates management team is fairly small but has a lot of responsibility so if you thrive in a job where you have the autonomy to make decisions and are encouraged to use your own initiative this is the job for you.

The Company
We're a higher education facility who's won awards for our campus but we're not satisfied with that, we aim to continue improving and ensuring we provide the best environment possible for the wide variety of activities that take place here. Following on from a recent restructure the estates department has grown so we're looking for 2 Project Managers to join; small works and capital projects.

The Estates and Facilities team is a close knit, enthusiastic bunch so if you're looking for that sort of proactive environment where stuff gets done click "apply" now.

The Package
£45k - £50k basic salary (dependent upon experience)
Discretionary bonus
32 days holiday plus bank holidays
Pension
Access to top-class sports facilities
Career development and training
Retailer discounts
