The Opportunity
Do you want a standalone H&S position within a dynamic, charity organisation?
We're looking for an experienced Health and Safety Advisor who enjoys a challenging, fulfilling environment. You will be helping the company develop and educate their team about health and safety in multiple environments.

The Role
As the H&S Advisor you will be working closely with the facilities and maintenance team. Main duties of the role will include:
*interpreting up to date health and safety legalisation and ensuring the organisation meets their obligations
*providing in-house inductions and training for new and current staff
*analysing current H&S policies and procedures, implementing improvements where required
*advising the senior management team about H&S legal requirements and best practice
*auditing a variety of sites and advising on general and specific risk assessments
*managing COSHH assessments
*investigating health and safety incidents, reporting your findings to senior management

The Candidate
If you have experience working in a similar health and safety role and hold a NEBOSH qualification we'd like to hear from you.

As this is a standalone H&S Advisor position you need to be really proactive with excellent interpersonal, communication and organisation skills.
Given the immediate needs of the role you must be confident inducting groups of staff across all levels of H&S protocols plus analysing and improving existing H&S policy. A background auditing sites (HSG65) would be viewed as highly beneficial.

The H&S Advisor role would particularly suit you if you have an interest in charity work or animal care.

The role will involve occasional travel to sites outside London so as the H&S Advisor you will need a full, clean UK driving licence (manual).

The Company
A leading not for profit organisation in the UK the H&S Advisor project will involve working in a small, close knit Head Office team.
The company is currently going through a country-wide expansion and the H&S Advisor position has been brought in to assist with this.
