We're a highly successful construction business who have recently developed a new facilities services division and are looking for a leader to help shape us as we grow. As cliché as it sounds you will be coming in at the start and the plan is, once you've found your feet, to build a team up underneath you.

The Role
In your new Operations Manager role you'll be front and centre of our plans to develop and expand the M&E provision we offer to our facilities maintenance clients. Our building fabric division is going from strength to strength and now we're looking for our engineering team to do the same, supported by the high-profile contracts we've already won.

Working closely with the Director you'll devise and implement operational and commercial strategy to ensure we win and deliver our contracts as efficiency and successfully as possible. You'll meet with clients, conduct site surveys, monitor profitability and get hands on managing your team of in-house Engineers and subcontractors.
As we are effectively a start-up this is your chance to mould the way an entire company functions, and run it the way you think it should be run.

People development is integral to what we're trying to achieve so you and your team should expect to continually improve and grow, with you powering that progress.

The Candidate
If you've got a building or hard services background and are looking to continue developing your career in operations management we'd love to hear from you!

To be able to hit the ground running you will need experience in facilities management building services engineering and be confident overseeing the work of a team of M&E Engineers. The Operations Manager role is a great opportunity to build your own department so staff development and leadership will need to be in your locker.

We will need you to lead from the front and wow a variety of clients so a strong commercial streak and the ability develop estimates and negotiate will serve you well.
Owing to the nature of the role you will need a full UK driving licence.

The Company
We're an interesting proposition; our construction arm is 50 years old and going strong but our Directors are now looking to diversify and have set up a facilities division, so we're a start up with the backing and clout of a well-established business.
