Job Description

We are currently looking to recruit a Facilities Manager for our client based in Sheffield. As this role is based in the public sector experience within this sector would be a distinct advantage. It will be the role of the successful candidate to manage teams dedicated to providing high quality services in line with agreed policies and procedures while also to financial and quality targets.

For this newly created role you will be responsible for maintaining and delivering Hard & Soft services including responsibility for all aspects of Health & Safety services. You must be SIA certified or be willing to achieve and applicants will have to hold a relevant HND or degree (or equivalent).

Key Responsibilities:

* Working with the Head of Trading and Facilities to develop, implement and monitor strategy for the delivery of high quality facilities services within the business planning framework

* To assist with the Business and Budget planning processes in your area of responsibility and to monitor performance against targets and Key Performance Indicators

* To ensure that all facilities staff adhere to our clients policies and procedures and that control systems are successfully managed

* To manage staff in accordance with the orginisations HR procedures and in a consistent and professional manner

* To be the first point of contact for all our clients room bookings, ensuring that all booking requirements are fulfilled through coordination of relevant departments

* To be responsible for the safety and security of the building, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation. To ensure the building is opened up and locked down as required

* To develop, implement and monitor a planned maintenance programme, and a programme of major and minor works
