The Opportunity
Bluefire Consulting are recruiting for a Hard Facilities Manager to oversee a team of M&E Engineers, individual projects and budgets for a large, multi-functional site. The Role
We are recruiting for a Hard Facilities Manager to be responsible for the operational activities of the property team including service delivery, project management and stakeholder relationships across a large, multi-use site based in Windsor. Reporting into the Head of Operations, main duties of the Hard Facilities Manager role will include:
*taking responsibility for all reactive and preventative maintenance on site
*overseeing the work of an in-house team and contractors
*managing your own projects including preparing specifications and schedules of work, running the tender process and appointing contracts to monitoring day to day work and settling final invoices.
*assisting with preparations for internal events
*ensuring compliance with financial and H&S legislation
*reporting regularly to internal stakeholders to ensure works cause minimal disruption

The Candidate
As a successful Hard Facilities Manager applicant you must be able to demonstrate a solid technical understanding of most M&E based systems within a property maintenance or a building services style environment. Degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline you need experience of working on multi-site estates and be confident managing budgets and contracts. A background working with historic, heritage or listed buildings or in critical environments would be viewed as highly beneficial.

A Hard Facilities Manager will need good management and communication skills in order to oversee the in-house and external team whilst the stakeholder management will require a strong customer-driven approach. You need to be IT literate, ideally with experience working with CAD and a Building Management System.

Owing to the nature of the role any Hard Facilities Manager candidate needs a consistent 7 year working history within the UK as the role will require security clearance.
