Job Summary

Our client manages a number of key cultural sites based within Stratford-upon-Avon. They now wish to appoint a Facilities Manager (Soft Services) to coordinate operations across 3 sites. The position will report to the Chief Finance and Commercial Officer and is salaried at £25,000-£27,000pa plus benefits.


Job Description

Our client manages a number of key cultural sites based within Stratford-upon-Avon. They now wish to appoint a Facilities Manager (Soft Services) to coordinate operations across 3 sites. The position will report to the Chief Finance and Commercial Officer and is salaried at £25,000-£27,000pa plus benefits.

Applicants will need to have experience of soft facilities and/or site management with a strong awareness of Health and Safety, Fire and Risk Management, and Environmental procedures and legislation.

Responsibilities will include:
* Managing a £750k budget
* Negotiate and monitor the performance of the property utility and service contracts
* Manage 15 staff across Catering, Cleaning, Security and Coach Park facilities
* Work with HR to ensure correct Health and Safety legislation is enforced and adhered to all times
* Provide training to all staff in regards to Health and Safety and Environmental procedures
* Work with Line Managers to develop a Risk management culture
* Ensure all relevant documentation is maintained at all times
* Maintain a bookings diary for the meeting rooms and provide relevant support required for each event
* Effectively manage a fleet of vehicles, ensuring each vehicle is adequately maintained
* Take the lead in promoting an eco friendly approach to all facilities
* Circulate a monthly 'What's On' newsletter to all staff

You will need to have a relevant qualification in Health & Safety and an understanding of disaster planning in order to implement a robust Business Continuity. Whilst this is predominantly a soft FM role awareness and understanding of basic buildings maintenance and hard services would be beneficial.

Strong IT skills combined with being an organised and self motivated person are key to this role, as is excellent communication skills and a practical, calm and tactful approach to management.
