The Role
Bluefire Consulting is recruiting for a Regional HR Advisor to oversee the HR function across the Midlands and South of England for an expanding utility company from their base in Coleshill, Birmingham. Main duties of the role will include:
*providing a full HR service to the Regional Managers across the territory
*managing the recruitment and selection process
*assisting with performance management and conducting annual appraisal meetings
*coordinating continuous professional development for employees and staff training
*dealing with disciplinary issues
*visiting satellite sites across the South of England as and when required
*ensuring all HR systems remain up to date

The Candidate
As a successful Regional HR Advisor candidate you must be able to demonstrate previous experience within a similar operational HR Advisor or HR Officer position, ideally across multiple sites. CIPD qualified (or equivalent) you must possess excellent knowledge of UK employment law. A HR background working within a utilities, manufacturing, engineering or construction environment would be viewed as highly advantageous.

This is a standalone HR Advisor position reporting directly into the HR Manager in Scotland, assisting the Regional Director in Birmingham and the Regional Managers across the South of England. As such any Regional HR Advisor candidates must be confident working within this environment with excellent operational, communication and negotiation skills. You must also be willing to travel to the sites as required (expenses covered).

Owing to the nature of the role a full UK driving license is considered essential.

The Opportunity
Our client is a rapidly expanding, OFGEM licensed multi-utility company who design, build and operate their own networks across the company. Owing to increasing success within the industry they are looking to increase market share and have plans to double their workforce within the next few years. The Regional HR Advisor role is seen as paramount to these plans to ensure the company policies, ethos and culture are implemented and developed across all sites. This will allow employees across the company equal opportunity to develop and excel within the organisation.
As Regional HR Advisor you will be at the forefront of this aim, working alongside the Regional Director and Regional Managers to roll out sustainable, successful HR practice across the Midlands and South of England.
