Location: Truro, Cornwall (homeworking considered for part of the working week)
Salary: £30,000-£37,000 plus benefits

The Role:
As the HR Advisor you will be responsible for the full co-ordination of HR support for staff within the education sector. Based in Truro, the main duties will include:

* Providing specialist advice on all employee relations matters as well as HR police and procedures
* Effective case management of people related issues such as disciplinaries, performance management and grievances by supporting line managers
* Managing employee relations caseload, including overseeing attendance cases relating to ill health, capability and performance management
* Maintaining awareness and knowledge of changes in employment legislation
* Working closely with HR Partners in formulating, implementing and monitoring HR policies and coaching/developing a HR Administrator
* Leading change management activities such as organisational restructure, TUPE and acquisitions
* Negotiation with employees and trade union representatives on all issues

The Candidate:
Previous experience within a HR role that has involved restructures and employee relations is essential. The successful HR Advisor will ideally have experience within the education sector and must have experience of dealing with Trade Unions. CIPD qualification, or equivalent, is essential. You must be able to demonstrate the ability to deal with people at all levels and have excellent IT skills. A full, clean driving licence is required as travel throughout Cornwall, Devon and UK will be involved.
