Job Title: Temporary HR Assistant and Learning & Development Assistant
Location: Bootle, Liverpool, Merseyside
Salary: £9.00-£10.90 per hour

The Role:
As the HR Assistant/L&D Assistant you will be supporting a HR Adviser and Head of Learning and Development to ensure an effective end to end service is met. The main duties will include:

* Act as first point of contact for all Learning & Development queries within include managing booking for courses and workshops and handling staff queries
* Coordinate bookings for in house courses such as Absence Management and Recruitment & Selection etc.
* Liaise with the communications team to inform and promote L&D needs and requirements within the company, including a regular communications calendar
* Administrating the recruitment process for filling vacancies including posting advertisements on the recruitment system, advising recruiting managers about sifting, preparing interview timetables and inviting candidates to interview
* Providing regular HR Management Information to comply with Civil Service requirements and carry out payroll audits on a monthly basis to ensure accurate recording on the HR database of new starters as well as changes to existing staff
* When required, support member of management at formal meetings such as poor attendance, poor performance, grievance or actions of misconduct


The Candidate:
Previous generalist HR experience with a certificate in Personnel Practice (CPP) and/or equivalent qualification in L&D is preferable. The successful HR Assistant must be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, the ability to prioritise workloads and a high level of IT literacy in Excel spreadsheets and all Microsoft Office packages. The successful candidate will be subject to security vetting at (SC) clearance level so a DBS check must be completed.

Occasional travel to other offices may be required but sufficient notice will be provided should this be the case.
