Job Title: Human Resources Manager; HR
Location: Romford, Essex
Salary: Up to £45k
Fixed Term Contract (12 months)

The Role:
As the Human Resources (HR) Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the HR function and comply with the requirements of the Data Protection Act (DPA) within a well-established Education provider. Based in Romford, you will provide line management and oversee the HR strategy where the main duties will include:

* Providing line management and workload including daily advice & guidance for the Deputy HR Manager and team members
* Ensuring all grievance, disciplinary, pension, retirement, maternity, capability & sickness procedures adhere to company policies and reflect statute law
* Undertaking the development of HR policies and lead the delivery of HR workshops
* Supporting Senior Management with all HR issues as required
* Providing a full HR service to all staff and keep abreast of any new legislation and implement changes where appropriate
* Working closely with Senior Management and Payroll section
* Positively promote company policies and good practice

The Candidate:
A previous HR Management background with disciplinary, grievance and tribunal experience is essential. A background within an education environment is preferred but not essential. The successful HR Manager must be able to demonstrate in-depth experience of employment law, have extensive experience of investigations and hearings and have management experience. Full CIPD qualification, HR degree or equivalent, is required. A high level of computer literacy, including the use of Word, Excel, Databases, Powerpoint and Outlook will be needed.
