We are looking for a Customer Support Engineer for one of the UK's fastest growing technology companies. Role is providing 2nd/3rd line support working with Juniper and Cisco. Office based role in Abingdon. Salary is 35K + Pension + 25 days holiday + bank holidays.

Customer Support Engineer - 2nd/3rd Line
£30,000 - £35,000 + Benefits including pension + 25 days holiday + bank holidays

The Role
We are looking for a Customer Support Engineer to provide 2nd/3rd line support for one of the fastest growing technology companies in the UK.

The company have been going through exceptional growth and as a result this is a newly created role working in a team of Network Engineers reporting into the Senior Network Engineer.

The role is responsible for supporting the network which is Juniper and Cisco based dealing with enquires from customers who are mainly B2C. We are looking for an all-rounder, someone that has supported a network before ideally in a technology company and also has home IT experience. Certifications such as JNCIA are ideal however CCNA/CCNP with the relevant technology company background will also be considered.

Environment wise, the closest comparison would be to describe the company as a technology start up, even though they have been in operation for a number of years and have a multimillion pound balance sheet. On that basis, experience of having worked in a fast moving technology growth environment would be a big advantage.

As a Customer Support Engineer you'll be involved in the following:
*Providing network services and support to customers - Level 2
*Routing, VLANs, Ethernet, RSTP
*Taking ownership of issues and managing cases from beginning to end
*Ensuring that all tickets are logged and kept updated
*Liaising with 3rd party carriers
*Managing case queues using Salesforce

The Requirements
As a Customer Support Engineer you will have previous experience in an ISP/Telecommunications company ideally working with Juniper however Cisco engineers will be considered as long as you have a CCNA as a minimum.

You will have strong analytical and troubleshooting skills and will have worked in a similar role before. Any experience of network support, project delivery or 2nd line engineering is highly advantageous.

Certifications such as JNCIA are required although if you are a Cisco engineer with the relevant CCNA or CCNP certifications and from a technology company please still apply. You will be a strong communicator and will be looking for an opportunity to work with cutting edge technologies in a growing company.
