The Role
We are looking for a Network Support Engineer to provide 2nd and some 3rd line support for one of the fastest growing technology companies in the UK.

The company have been going through exceptional growth and as a result this is a newly created role working in a team of Network Engineers reporting into the Head of Networks.

The role is responsible for supporting the network which is Cisco and Juniper based dealing with enquires from customers. We are looking for an all-rounder, someone that has supported a network before ideally in a technology company and also has knowledge of home IT.

Cisco qualifications such as CCNA/CCNP alongside some Juniper experience is ideally what we are looking for however if you have a Cisco background within an ISP/Telecoms/Technology company and no Juniper you will also be considered so please still apply.

Certifications such as JNCIA are highly advantageous.

Environment wise, the closest comparison would be to describe the company as a technology start up, even though they have been in operation for a number of years and have a multimillion pound balance sheet. On that basis, experience of having worked in a fast moving technology growth environment would be a big advantage.

As a Network Support Engineer you'll be involved in the following:

*Providing network services and support to customers
*Routing, VLANs, Ethernet, RSTP
*Taking ownership of issues and managing cases from beginning to end
*Ensuring that all tickets are logged and kept updated
*Liaising with 3rd party carriers
*Managing case queues using Salesforce

The Requirements

You will be a strong communicator and will be looking for an opportunity to work with cutting edge technologies in a growing company. It`s a fast moving, fluid environment and you`ll have to think on your feet - it`s something that many job specifications will say, but it is essential on this one as while the environment is becoming more structured, it`s still fluid day to day but the right person would view this as a selling point!

You will have strong analytical and troubleshooting skills and will have worked in a similar role before.
