Job Description

The Role: Project Manager (ISP / Network Engineering)
Location: Abingdon
Package: £50,000

Overview:
Are you a technically savvy project manager that has evolved from being a hands on engineer, and wants to play in a part in deploying cutting edge technology projects on the core network, working in the network department of an ISP?

If so, this brand new position gives a chance for you to combine your technical knowledge with the deployment of a range of technical solutions.

You`ll get end to end ownership and exposure to a range of technologies, but we are looking for someone that can point to a solid level of technical knowledge and track record of delivering technical projects using the typical stack of technology within an ISP.

The environment here is Cisco BGP & OSPF and Juniper based, so it would be ideal if you`ve been an engineer in those areas but also happy to hear from project managers that come from a strong infrastructure background using Microsoft technologies, including Lync & Office 365.

The company:
This is a rapid deployment technology environment and you`ll need the ability to manage multiple projects at any one time. It`s fluid, and the methodology is based around Prince 2 so while we are hoping you`ll be a practitioner, we`ll be flexible on methodology if the track record of implementing network technology projects is there.

There is a real chance to play a part in shaping the growth of the project function witin the technology team and this would be the first dedicated project manager position specifically in this area, so you`ll not be joining a rigid environment and picking up the pieces of somebodies else`s prior work.
