The Role
Bluefire Consulting are recruiting for an IT Support Engineer to provide remote support and onsite installation around the Surrey area for a growing IT support company who specialise in audio visual equipment. Main duties of the role will include:
*ensuring exemplary customer care
*providing remote 1st/2nd line IT support for clients
*installing audio-visual equipment and hardware on site
*Windows OS troubleshooting
*managing desktop and server migrations
*monitoring of virtualisation systems
*dealing with IT or AV engineering issues onsite when required

This role is working Monday - Friday; 9:00am - 5:30pm though some flexibility (occasionally 8:00am - 4:30pm) to fit around clients working hours is required.

The Candidate
The IT Support Engineer role will involve working directly with clients' onsite so you need to be a people person with excellent communication skills and a real enthusiasm for the job. To make a great IT Support Engineer you need to demonstrate an IT support/helpdesk background with a good working knowledge of the latest Windows servers (2008 or 2012 R2 ideally) and Windows OS (8.1). Experience of supporting virtualisation programmes such as Microsoft Hyper-V or VMWare would be highly beneficial.

Owing to the nature of the role a full UK driving licence is essential.
You will be required to undergo a CRB check so if you have an up to date version this would be seen as highly beneficial.
