The role

The main objective of this role is to provide expert assistance in supporting the Information Manager in completing planned improvements to the Intranet and to deal with day-to-day issues and support queries. This will free up his time to allow him to continue to engage with a number of the clients colleagues and take forward further new tools and content developments, in conjunction with the Intranet Improvement Group.
The role will require you to manage content and build new site pages, while also assisting less technically minded members of the team how to use SharePoint 2010 to update the web pages in their department.

The candidate

The ideal candidate for this role will have good knowledge of SharePoint 2010 and have the ability to create and update new pages. Some project work may require you to create smaller sites and the associated pages. The role will require you support the information manager so we are looking for someone who can work well in a team. The role will require you assist other employees with training of how to use SharePoint so any previous experience of coaching would be warmly received.
Key skills and experiences required

oFamiliarity and experience with SharePoint 2010, working as an editor not a developer, with demonstrable evidence of creating, editing and structuring pages and other content.
odemonstrable evidence of working to a plan work such as migrating and creating sites.
oevidence of taking a positive and proactive approach to building relationships and supporting colleagues who may have little SharePoint knowledge and understanding.
oable to share examples of delivering basic training and creating guidance notes
oevidence of experience of troubleshooting, answering enquiries and escalating issues.
ogeneral proficiency with the Microsoft Office environment.
