Role: Broadband Network Manager - Telco / ISP

This is a management position and you'll provide the leadership and direction for a high performing team of technical specialists charged with developing, designing and integrating a national Broadband network from definition through implementation.
The team are tasked with shaping development plans to enhance the network, spot deficiencies and resolutions and support architectural designs and testing requirements. This is a cutting edge team and the solutions provided underpin everything that this company delivers nationwide.
You'll be technically astute, albeit a step removed; and background will be in technical roles, with the understanding of large scale systems in Data Networking, ISP or telecommunications. Knowledge of RADIUS and DHCP would be needed, but large scale data network build experience within an ISP or Telco, combined with the leadership pedigree is the key for the role.
Role Purpose
* Manage a team of highly skilled principle engineers who are tasked with the design, modification and delivery of a national broadband network.
* Working with the architecture teams in order to take architectural designs and carry out detailed design and test new service requirements
* Support the planning and deployment teams to facilitate implementation of new services and for expansion of existing platforms
* Support to operation in the analysis of complex faults
* Providing detailed design support to business groups in support of bids and in support of customer issues
Essential Knowledge, Experience and Skills:
* Extensive experience of working with large scale systems in a Data Networking, ISP or telecommunications environment
* Knowledge of Broad Band ISP networks and ideally a knowledge of RADIUS, DHCP
* Extensive understanding of cable systems, IP networking and security technologies.
* Management or Supervisory experience is essential
