Strategic Initiative Consultant
£50-60k plus bonus, pension, healthcare

Overview of the role

The key aim of the Strategic Initiative Consultant is to select key parts of critical kpi data and use that data to present a compelling commercial story to senior management with the aim of influencing strategy.

You will analyse and define data from metrics, trends and targets before collating into a cohesive, value-adding and comprehensive reports, presentable to the internal board. Being the key strategic link between the technical teams and the Directors you will define the most appropriate way to measure benefits of all initiatives and sourcing data for monthly reporting.

You'll be meeting regularly with key senior strategy leaders across the company, presenting your findings in a business case that allows strategy to become a reality, easily digestible to those less technical and measurable in line with the businesses long term goals.

Key Accountabilities:

*Understanding of customer / financial risks.
*Constructs visually delightful presentations pitched appropriately for the Exec Committee.
*Analyses and translates complex data into easily understandable points, delivered in a clear and compelling manner.
*Tracking impacts against forecast and revising where necessary.
*Flagging issues as they arise for investigation and action.
*Ensure that emphasis is given to where things improve, as well as where they don't, and that actions to make these improvements are recorded and returned to.
*Provide the narrative for data that draws together metrics, trends and targets into a cohesive, value-adding, and action orientated story.
*Delivering solid business cases and ensuring stakeholder buy-in and full understanding of benfits/risk of each action plan.

The Individual:

*Highly numerate/analytical (Financial background would be advantageous although not essential).
*Excellent communication and presentation skills
*Able to manage several significant work tasks in parallel, to ensure that deliverables and deadlines are met.
*Ability to interface at the most senior levels.
*Strong relationship building, collaboration and influencing skills.
*Energy and passion to achieve and exceed stretching objective often delivering within tight timescales.
*Expertise in both MS Excel, PowerPoint and other engaging presentation media tools.
*Able to dynamically respond to both strategic and tactical operational management requirements.
*Attention to detail.
*Possibly a consulting background, or consultative style industry role having worked for the likes of Accenture, Capgemini, KPMG, PWC etc.
