The Role
Firstly this role is challenging and not for those looking an easy ride. We will need you to be able to think on your feet and be flexible to the nature of a fast growing ISP. You will need to wear multiple hats and be needed as the business needs you. This isn't a Project Manager position, you must be a man manager, and be able to drive performance of teams. We appreciate that sometimes a Project Manager will perform these duties in some companies, so we would be happy to hear from you. But please bare this in mind. My hands are also tied on the location of candidates. You must live within a reasonable distance of the patch. We will have opportunities UK wide for the patch you live in in the future. But we want local people with local knowledge for each of these roles.

The overview of the Delivery Manager means you will be responsible for the timely delivery of FTTH network builds in rural locations. You will reporting daily to the Project Manager, the Delivery Manager will control multiple teams of civils and splicing subcontractors, in order to deliver ultrafast broadband to residents in the UK. The Delivery Manager will also be responsible for co-ordinating work alongside in-house Civils Inspectors to ensure H&S and Quality standards are met. The Delivery Manager will largely be field based and will deliver to pre-defined project plans. The Delivery Manager will have good working relationships with the Project Manager, Local Authorities, resident broadband champions, parish councils and subcontractors.The Delivery Manager will be accountable for on-site network delivery and responsible for build quality.

Responsibilities
The Delivery Manager- Telecoms/Fibre/Civils will be responsible for:

*On-Site Delivery Management of FTTH network and Civils works
*Coordination of subcontractors and splicing teams
*Ensure As-Built reports are produced
*Aid the Project Manager with on-site cost, time and quality control management
*Local Authority stakeholder management
*Liaising with Landowners to support the PM with wayleave agreements
*Resolve on-site customer issues
*Resolve Project Manager queries
*Reporting of network delivery KPIs
*Ensuring on-site stock levels are adequate - re-order where necessary
*Contribute to lessons learned
*Raise Change Requests into projects and design
*Ensure the Network Design is adhered to
*Deliver active and passive network elements to internal quality standards
*Sign off cab builds
*Telecommunications
*Civils
*On-site management of subcontractors
*Ensure civils dig teams adhere to statutory legislation
*Ensure that civils dig teams are inducted with internal working practices
*Ensure telecommunications & civils subcontractors adhere to installation standards
*Walk the route with civils teams to understand network build
*On-site H&S
*On-site quality
*Aiding set up of equipment storage yards
*Help co-ordinate Civils Inspectors in dig areas
*Liaise with Highways Authorities
*Understand and challenge Method Statements and Risk Assessments
*Request Notices, Permits and Road Closure from PMO
*Oversee Core Testing and Trial Hole programmes
*Check off weekly civils contractors measures

The Candidate
The ideal Delivery Manager will have;

*Strong delivery management background
*Strong network build management background
*Good understanding of fibre based telecommunications - FTTH, FTTx
*Background in Civils digs including the management of noticing, trenching and reinstatement works
*Experienced in the co-ordination of in-house civils inspectors
*Working with local council authorities
*Prince2 Practitioner desirable
*NRSWA
