Role: Data Engineer / Consultant (CCNP / CCIE / R&S)
Location: Home based to cover Midlands region
Package: £50,000 - £60,000 & £5,400 car allowance, 15% KPI driven bonus, pension, private health, 25 days holiday and other benefits.

Overview:
We are looking to recruit a data consultant, ideally skilled to CCIE calibre, to provide project implementation, design and maintenance support of bespoke, enterprise customer LAN Solutions on behalf of this national telecoms company.

Ideally, you`ll be CCIE level in routing and switching as you`ll be providing network consultancy services to customers on a chargeable basis for generally large, complex, high risk projects and/or where demanded by the customer environment in order to achieve customer satisfaction.

You`ll develop and provide the final design configuration for projects and will act as "Lead Engineer" on major projects and be the main technical point of contact throughout the life of the project.

This role will be based from home and you`ll typically be working with Enterprise customers based in the East & West Midlands with some coverage of Central Wales.

Key Duties:

* To be the "Lead Engineer" on major projects and be the main technical point of contact throughout the life of the project. You`ll be main point of technical contact through the project life cycle.
* To attend Account Engineering meetings as allocated by the Data Services Manager to client maintenance customers.
* To undertake and complete LAN Audits using the appropriate analysis tools and produces a detailed report for our customers.
* Test and develop customer solutions within the Lab environment in order to support both new and existing customers.
* To carry out solution demonstrations to our customers within the Lab area as required.
* To participate in the team out of hours "on call" faults rota.
* To continually develop technical skills and renew accreditation's in order to support company Cisco Gold requirement.

Essential Knowledge, Experience and Skills

* Cisco CCIE Routing and Switching (or equivalent experience).
* Demonstrates a high understanding of Data Communications principles and practice with high degree of emphasis on network design/implementation and principles.

Additional technical specialism expertise essential. These being:-
*Data Centre
*Unified Communications
*Security
*Wireless
*Advanced Routing and Switching (IPv6, Multicasting)
* Experience in complex fault finding/problem resolution on Data Networking products.
* Full UK Driving license required
