Job Summary

Regional Operations Manager with a strong telecommunications experience, ideally in external cabling and civils (Within an NRSWA environment) to work in this permanent position for the Midlands Region. This is a senior management position working for a global telecoms company and we are looking for applicants that have worked on a national or regional operations management basis before, ideally within a client and contractor working relationship.


Job Description

Role: Regional Operations Manager
Location: Midlands area (Birmingham or Nottingham base)
Package: £40-47plus 15% bonus, vehicle, pension, private health

Overview:

The Regional Operations Manager is responsible for effective end-to end delivery of a positive customer experience covering civils, cable and activation activities in the region. Responsible for day-to-day operational outputs to achieve mandated KPI's. Managing cost base aligned to monthly revenue generation. Drive best practice and become a benchmark for the other regions. Report structure would be 12 team managers and around 110 field operatives / engineers.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
*Responsible for regional end-to end management of civils, cabling and activation activities, ensuring hand-off between disciplines is executed in an efficient manner
*Deliver an effective customer relationship interface, ensuring customer at appropriate levels are appraised and engaged at all times.
*Own the cost budget for the region, ensuring it at all times is aligned and trimmed to meet operational and financial needs
*Responsible for meeting all delivery, quality and H&S KPI's for the region
*Ensure the regional operation at all times is prepared to manage and resolve ERS
*Direct line management of Team Managers and Senior Team Managers in region
*Ensure a culture of performance management is embedded in the regional team, with clear objectives and targets set for individuals
*Champion employee communication in the region, ensuring 1-2-1, team briefs and tool box talks are carried out in a timely manner and in a way that ensures clear understanding by all colleagues
*Implementation of Business Policies and ensure all activities are carried out in line with the company's standard operating procedures
* Work with Head of Customer Operations to ensure national coordination processes are supported and adhered to by the regional coordination functions
* Work with the Compliance Manager to ensure all activities in the regions are carried out in line with requirements
*Champion continuous improvement and act as a catalyst for delivering innovate solutions to help company profitability, sharing these with the wider team as part of 'best practice' process
*Ensure fleet, tools, facilities and stores are managed at a regional level
*Deputise for Head of Operations/Operations Director as and when required



EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES
Experience
*Proven track record of managing field operations in a telecommunications / civils or construction environment
*People, budget and performance management
*Able to communicate clearly and consistently
*NRSWA trained (Not essential)
*H&S Passport or equivalent
*Engineering knowledge pertaining to relevant discipline
