The Role
As a Network Support Engineer working for a leading IT, Communications and Technology Company you will be responsible for providing network maintenance and support. You will be part of a growing, dynamic and forward thinking technology company and will have previous experience in a networking support type role.

This role has been created due to expansion and is a great opportunity for someone looking to join a friendly, small and highly technical IT Team where you can have a real impact. The infrastructure is varied including hardware, software, network communications and virtual so we are really looking for someone that enjoys working in a diverse technical environment.
There is also an on-call out-of-office-hours support for our 24/7 operations team (on a weekly shift basis).

This role would suit a Network Support Engineer that's interested in learning Windows/Systems Admin, the role will be split roughly 70% networking/30% Windows/Systems Admin.

Essential requirements:

*Network troubleshooting
*Firewalls/routers
*Bandwidth analysers
*IPV4, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, FTP, TCP/IP
*Ethernet switching - VLAN, 802.1Q trunking
*Wireless networking
*Enjoys speaking to customers and building strong client relationships
*Enjoys working with and being part of a team
*Good communicator with the ability to clearly understand customer requirements
*Highly organised
*"Going the extra mile" to deliver timely fixes or updates for customers
*A quick learner and be keen to learn new technologies.
*Troubleshooting, owning, resolving cases and keeping the client informed

Other beneficial experience:
*Windows Server (2008 R2+)
*Linux
*Virtualisation (Hyper-V and VMWare)
*VoIP
*Previously worked for an ISP, MSP or Telecoms company

As a Network Support Engineer you will have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar support desk/helpdesk environment. You will enjoy talking to customers and must also be able to demonstrate outstanding case management and customer support excellence. You will be ambitious, driven and enthusiastic and will be looking for an opportunity that allows you to expand your current skillset by learning Windows/Systems Admin.
