1st line Helpdesk Support (Microsoft) required for our client who are based in Cheltenham. This offers the chance to join an established organisation and IT team to develop your career and learn new skills.

For the 1st line Helpdesk Support (Microsoft) it is essential that you have experience of working in a helpdesk environment in the past. You have good knowledge of Windows / Outlook / Exchange etc. It is imperative that you have great customer service skills also as you will be taught anywhere where you are lacking, but your customer service is something you must naturally have.

Skills/Attributes Required

- Good knowledge of Windows XP/Window 7/MS Office (2007/2010) essential
- Excellent telephone manner and friendly approach
- Strong Customer Service Skills

Duties & Responsibilities

- To answer and log All IT support requests received via phone, email & fax.
- To provide 1st line support for Software & Hardware related queries; answering support queries via phone, email and fax.
- Where 1st contact resolution is not possible in agreed timescales escalate to 2nd/3rd line support staff.
- General support around MS Office packages (Outlook/Excel/Word)
- Working extra hours to meet deadlines, as required and where reasonable
