The Opportunity
An award winning and rapidly growing Telecommunications company are looking for a 1st Line Support Engineer to join their NOC. Based in state of the art offices in the City and offering great incentives for staff such a trips all over Europe and a day off for your birthday, this is a great opportunity for an Engineer looking to progress their career.

The Role
This role will involve taking calls, managing case queues for faults, information requests and data centre access. The role will suit someone with at least 1 years experience in a similar role in Telecommunications or IT that's able to demonstrate knowledge of networking fault finding and looking to build on their career.

As a 1st Line Support Engineer you will be involved in the following duties:

*Monitoring and troubleshooting network faults , escalating to 2nd line when needed
*Managing cases such as changes, faults or requests
*Ensuring that open tickets are kept minimal
*Using Salesforce to manage case queues
*Assign any faults to carriers and suppliers, following these up to ensure they're acted on as soon as possible
*Ensuring that best level of practice is being adhered to both in support and monitoring

The Requirements
As a 1st Line Support Engineer you will have at least 1 years experience in a similar role in a Telecommunications or IT background. You will have previous experience of networking fault finding and be comfortable with Layer 1, 2 and 3 of the OSI model. Exposure to MAC, ARP, Traceroute and Ping is assumed and you will ideally be working towards a CCNA or JNCIA.
You will be a strong communicator, good at building relationships and be passionate about delivering excellent customer service.
