The Opportunity

If so, we have the perfect 1st / 2nd Line Support Engineer role for you.

We're an architectural consultancy who works on some of the most challenging projects across the capital who are looking to bring someone in-house to oversee our IT systems as part of our close knit team.

The Role
In your new 1st / 2nd Line Support role you'll work onsite with around 100 users with their day to day IT calls and queries, respond to tickets raised and generally provide helpdesk support. Our staff provide advanced architectural solutions to some of the highest profile projects around London and the South East so they rely on their systems and you'll be the person ensuring they stay up and running.

You'll be the sole IT Support Engineer working in the office which means your role will be really varied; from troubleshooting issues to basic repairs, rolling out new software and managing user accounts on Active Directory there's always something to do. You will have technical support from our out-sourced team to escalate particularly tricky problems to as well.

Alongside this as our 1st / 2nd Line Support Engineer we'll be looking to you to suggest new software or IT management strategies, assist with IT budget management and generally ensure we're getting the best from our systems.

The Candidate
If you have experience working in a previous 1st / 2nd line support role either in-house or through a managed service provider we'd like to hear from you!

To be really successful in the 1st / 2nd Line Support Engineer you will need to have a good working knowledge of Windows 10, Office 2016 and Office 365. The more you know about Windows servers the better and a good working knowledge of networking including IP addressing, DNS or DHCP would be considered beneficial.

I know we've gone on about it but we really do believe in providing great customer service plus you will be fitting in to a close, happy team so you will need to be a people person who can add to that.

Crucial to their work is our IT systems so we do see the 1st / 2nd Line Support position as business critical. You're not going to be shoved into a cupboard and left to your own devices until someone has a problem, you'll be an integral part of the team and encouraged develop ideas and be proactive in driving us forward too.
