The Opportunity

The Role
As a 2nd Line NOC Engineer you will be a core member of the NOC team and will be expected to provide technical support to services. Unlike many NOC roles, working hours are 8.30am-5.30pm as the company have an offshore function for any overnight support.

You'll be working as 2nd Line NOC Engineer alongside the Head of NOC who started in the business a few years ago as a Support Engineer. You can progress in the same way as the company are all about internal progression. They will help you to achieve your goals by continuous professional development such as training in Juniper (JNCIA).

Working in their quirky City based offices which include a chill out area with beanbags, a giant blackboard for dragons den style brainstorming meetings, a well-stocked fridge and free breakfast every Friday. What will you be doing?
*Monitoring and troubleshooting network faults
*Acting as an escalation point for higher level support for 1st line engineers
*Managing cases such as changes, faults or requests
*Assign any faults to carriers and suppliers, following these up to ensure they're acted on as soon as possible
*Providing network services and support to partners

The Candidate
You'll have a background in Telecommunications and any experience in Juniper is great however training will be given. The company are big on internal progression and developing their staff therefore will put engineers through Juniper certifications such as JNCIA.
It's assumed you'll have experience of WAN technologies and exposure to BGP, OSPF and MPLS is desirable.

This role may suit a NOC Engineer looking to get away from shift work or an engineer looking for a step up and in interest in working cutting edge technologies such as Juniper. If you're a CCNA Cisco Engineer and are interested in learning Juniper please also apply.
