2nd Line Support Engineer

The Opportunity
An award winning and rapidly growing Telecommunications company are looking for a 2nd Line Support Engineer to join their NOC. Based in state of the art offices in the City and offering great incentives for staff such a trips all over Europe and a day off for your birthday, this is a great opportunity for an Engineer looking to progress their career.

The Role
The company work predominantly with Juniper so any experience with this is beneficial however candidates with good Cisco, a CCNA and a strong background in Telecommunications will be considered therefore please still apply.

As a 2nd Line Support Engineer you will be involved in the following duties:
*Monitoring and troubleshooting network faults
*Acting as an escalation point for higher level support for 1st line engineers
*Managing cases such as changes, faults or requests
*Using Salesforce to manage case queues
*Assign any faults to carriers and suppliers, following these up to ensure they're acted on as soon as possible
*Providing network services and support to partners
*Ensuring that best level of practice is being adhered to both in support and monitoring

The Requirements
As a 2nd Line Support Engineer you will have a background in Telecommunications in a similar role working with WAN technologies. You will ideally have experience with Juniper however candidates with a Telecoms background in Cisco and hold a CCNA will also be considered. You will have strong troubleshooting skills and experience in OSPF, MPLS and BGP is desirable.

You will be good at building relationships and be passionate about delivering excellent customer service. You will ideally hold certifications in either Cisco or Juniper such as CCNA or JNCIA and be working towards JNCIS-SP or CCNP.
