The Role

As a Field Support Engineer working for a leading IT & Telecoms solutions company you will be responsible for supporting one of their main clients with multiple offices across London. You will be providing 1st/2nd line desktop support and will have a good understanding of networking including protocols such as TCP/IP. You will have solid desktop experience, ideally from an ISP/Telecoms company and will enjoy working with customers. This role has been created due to expansion and the company are offering the suitable candidate a fantastic opportunity to work with cutting edge technologies in a fast growing business. As a Field Support Engineer you will be responsible for:

*Logging tickets, talking to customers and building rapport with them.
*Providing general 1st / 2nd line desktop, network and phone support.
*Supporting the internal infrastructure of the company by spending a small part of the week back at the office.
*Working with one of their main prestigious clients at multiple locations across the City of London.
*Troubleshooting, owning, resolving cases and keeping the client informed.
*"Going the extra mile" to deliver timely fixes or updates for customers.

The Requirements - It is essential you have the following technical requirements:
*MS Server 2012 - Management and administration including server builds (MS Server 2008 R2 will also be considered)
*Hands on experience with Windows 7,8 and 8.1
*Troubleshooting of MS Office 2013 or Office 365
*Management and administration of Active Directory
*Networking knowledge including protocols such as TCP/IP

Any experience in VoIP (Mitel/Broadsoft), Mac or ITIL is highly beneficial. You will be a strong communicator with excellent organisational skills. As this role is client facing role it is essential you are well presented and have the ability to talk to non-technical users.
